chemical for industrial process.  Environmental   health is  
a major issue.  Metal  poisoning associated  with  mining
industry  was  discovered  in  many patients who lived in
the vicinity Industry surge trends to move pollution industries
out  of  move  industrialized  countries to keep  the costs
down. Occupational health and safety is also a problem in
Thailand.   Appropriate  control   measures  require  the
cooperation of  not  just the workers, but also the factory
owners and local politicians. The NGO concerning  
environmental  and health services are immediately needed
because of lacking services among the governmental
enterprises, In 1992, life and Environment Co.,Ltd. opened
it first acute facility in Srinakarin Road Bangkok and   quickly established its  reputation in the
rapidly growing  private center  for field of health and environment.

• L&E provides the environmental assessment and Industrial Safety Services
  to the clients which settle in the government sectors and industrial enterprises.
  The assessment consists of the emission test which regulated by the EPA, the
  working area investigation which controlled by the OSHA/NIOSH and the surrounding
  environments such as community and residential area which regulated by the EPA
  and BMA or other province administration.
  
• L&E Laboratory has been approved and certified by the Department of Industrial Works,
  Ministry of Industry to carry out analytical analyses in accordance with Factory Act,1992
• There are many part time specialists from Mahidol University are invited to join with the
  EIA work as well as consultation on ISO14000 and TIS18000 at L&E, They also give
  consultation on IQA (Indoor Air Quality) for both inspection and corrective measures.
  
       
  
  The services on Environmental Assessment.
  
  The Life & Environment was set up for specific objectives in providing the environment
  assessment services by using knowledgeable and experience personnel together with
  modern technology. The instrumental and computerized systems will give the very high
  performances quality and high efficiency. The scope of L&E services are as the followings:
  
  Environmental Assessment inside The workplace: Inspection and Analyses of the
  physical environments such as illumination, noise, heat stress, vibration. Analysis of
  the chemical environments such as gas and vapor of toxic chemicals: examples;
  metal dust fumes, silica dust, asbestos fiber. Analysis the biological environments
  such as bacteria and fungi in the air by using standard method of ACGIH
  (American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists).
  

  Environmental Services for Ambient conditions: Inspection and analysis of the
  ambient air quality is the physical conditions (Noise Leq24, Vibration, wind speeds
  and directions). The chemical conditions (particulate, Pb, chemical vapors and gases,
  SO2, NO2, CO, HCl). The assessment will be conducted using the mobile air quality
  instruments according to the EPA standard criteria.
  
  Inspection of air quality from the emission sources: services in sampling and analysis
  of air quality emitted from the factory stacks and comply with the standard of the
  Environmental Protection Agency. L&E can conduct the inspection for every parameters
  that code in the federal standard, for examples: particulates and fumes of metals.
  (Sb,As,Cu,Pb,Hg) and other toxic gases(Cl2,H2S,H2SO4,SOX,NOX,) etc.
  
  Services for Analyses of industrial toxic substances: Services in toxicological analyses
  for toxic substances such as heavy metal in blood and urine as well as analyses of toxic
  substances in the environment is heavy metals in air such as Pb, Zn, Cu, Mn etc., The
  organic vapors such as Benzene, Xylene, Toluene etc., The analytical procedures will be
  conducted using advanced instruments is AAS and GC.
  
  Services for Analyses of water quality,Soil and sediment: Inspection and Analysis of
  waste water in accordance with standard method.(AWWA) The laboratory can provide
  sampling and analysis for every parameters coded in The federal standards. More over,
  the laboratory can provide analysis for quality of soil and sediment particularly the
  contaminated concentration of heavy metals.
  
  Center for Promotion and Development of Health
  
  
  CDPH.aims to provide health services and Occupational health
  surveillance program by using high quality standard instruments
  with routine calibration. The CPDH can submit the health report
  very quickly and give an executive summary report for the
  administrative levels. Also the CPDH can provide the 2 years
  comparative health records by advancing computer system.
  
  Services of CPDH
  1.General health examination eg: medical examination,.
  chest X-rays.(Small/Large), Urinalysis and CBC.

  2.Health examination according to the work exposure eg: vision test,
  audiometric test, Lung function test, ergonomics analysis of heavy
  metals and toxic substances in the organism.

  3. Special examinations for the executives who gain more than
  30 years of age, eg: EKG, Liver function test, kidney function test,
  diabetic test, lipid profile, uric acid, virus B hepatitis, cytology test
  for screening of carcinoma in the large intestine, liver and prostate gland.
